"We had to do more."
Those words shaped Karin Choquette's entire career in healthcare.
As a young student accompanying her physician father on a hospice visit, Karin witnessed both profound compassion and the limits of what medicine could offer. That experience ignited a lifelong commitment to clinical research.
The daughter of a military flight surgeon, wife to a 33-year veteran and mother of a young military captain, Karin's commitment to service runs deep. As assistant vice president of Research Site Operations at SCRI, Karin is helping to bring cutting-edge clinical trials to community settings. That means innovative therapies that were once only available at major academic centers can be accessed by patients in their own backyards. She believes every patient deserves access to novel therapies without having to travel hundreds of miles from home.
Watch Karin's story in the latest Coffee + Connection episode and discover SCRI’s role in meeting patients where they are.
